So here we are. A new place in history. One we have never seen before.
People are starting to panic. Grocery stores are emptying out. Gatherings are being canceled for all kinds of events. Even churches are telling parishioners to watch their services online.
What do we do? Where do we turn?
As I was reading this morning, I got my answer, what about You?
I lift up my eyes to the mountains—
where does my help come from?
My help comes from the Lord,
the Maker of heaven and earth.Psalm 121:1-2
Where do you find your peace? I believe at this time, we can either walk in fear along with the world, or this can be the time to turn to the Lord. Look at the first line of the scripture. Are there mountains before us? Oh yes and the kinds of mountains we’ve never faced before, but let us keep our gaze on Jesus.
He is the One and the Only One to pull us through. I’d like to end this post with two things. One is a video for you to watch and pray about. The second is with a prayer.
Lord, help each one of us today. Help us to look to you before we focus on all that is going on around us. You are our help. You are our salvation. You are our very help in times of need.
Although things may seem to be getting dark around us and out of our control, we CHOOSE today to keep our eyes and our heart on You! In Your Holy Name, We Pray. Amen.
Secondly, there is a video worth watching. After you see this, please continue to pray with me, more fervently than ever, that our President will call a National Day of Prayer. After you watch the video, I pray you will agree with me … NOW, not LATER!
I end with a familiar scripture that is found in the book of Numbers:
“The Lord bless you
and keep you
the Lord make his face shine on you
and be gracious to you. ” Numbers 6:24-25
