Happy Thanksgiving!
So, what is in that word anyways? I guess when you think about it should the words be turned around, just maybe?
Should it really be giving thanks instead of Thanksgiving? But then you’d walk up to someone and say, “Happy Giving Thanks Day.” I guess that would sound kind of funny, right?
The bottom line is, it’s a day to give thanks. A day to set aside before all the business of the holiday starts to flood our lives and to think of what you are thankful for.
Penny Cooke and I stopped to do that on our podcast this week., The Importance of Thankfulness click here to listen …
Discover the importance of thankfulness. We all have busy lives. We all have times when things don’t go as we’ve planned but may you discover as we did why it is important to give thanks.
If you’re ready to begin that holiday baking… Here’s a recipe from my dear friend Jan.. (it’s the best:-))
Jan’s Sugar pecans
Heat oven to 350~
Take one pound of pecans.
Beat one egg white till fluffy…
Add one tbsp of water
Beat again so it stays fluffy
Add pecans and fold in with a wooden spoon
Make sure the nuts are covered.
Now in another bowl mix 1 tsp of cinnamon
1 tsp of salt
And 1 cup of sugar
Add this to nuts and mix well.
Bake on a cookie sheet for 15 minutes
Turnover and bake for 20 – 25 minutes. YUMMY!!
Let me know if you make them… just how good they are!!!
Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful Thanksgiving … See You Next Week
Blessings,
