Lamba at the Tomb

Publish Year: 2025

Author: Del Bates

Synopsis

Lamba is a little lamb who wants to see the world. One night he wanders away from his shepherd. Alone and afraid, he finds himself in a place where the song of angels fills the skies and a very special baby, Jesus, is born.

Later, in Jerusalem, Lamba encounters Jesus, who tells him he has to go away but will return one day. One more time Lamba looks for Jesus only to find crosses on a hill and angels saying “He is risen” at an empty tomb. When his shepherd finds Lamba, they share the good news with all.

The birth of Christ, his ministry, and death and resurrection are told for children ages four through eight through the eyes of the little wandering lamb, Lamba.

He followed Jesus to the city… now he follows Him to the tomb.

Lamba is no ordinary lamb. With a curious heart and a playful spirit, he’s journeyed from the hills of Bethlehem to the bustling streets of Jerusalem, always seeking to be near Jesus.

But today feels different.

The city is quiet. The cheering crowds are gone. And as Lamba walks the familiar path alone, he finds himself at the foot of a hill with three crosses—and a heavy stone rolled in front of a sealed tomb.

What happened to Jesus? Why are the soldiers standing guard? And what could it all mean?

In Lamba at the Tomb, the final book in the Lamba’s Journey with Jesus trilogy, children will witness the awe-inspiring miracle of the resurrection through the eyes of a little lamb who never gave up seeking his Savior. With gentle rhymes and engaging illustrations, this powerful story brings the truth of Easter to life in a way that is both accessible and unforgettable for young hearts.
